Kat attended a pottery evening class at Farnham Art College from 1978 for almost five years with a fantastic teacher, Katrina Evangeligou, who taught to degree level. Katrina had exceptionally high standards and so Kat would sometimes go home in tears from one of her lessons, fearing her skills as a potter would never meet her standards; she now realises she was just making her the best potter she could be as she can now competently makes a wide variety of everyday objects from mugs, cups and saucers, teapots, plates and bowls to birdbaths and wind chimes!
Kat plays with stoneware, thrown and hand built items, all for use and enjoyment and use combinations of colours, often bright.
Kat set up her own studio in May 2013.
Kat has been selling her work at craft fairs, websites such as Etsy and Folksy, various craft fairs that present annually, at home, her website and exhibitions through the WPA and Mid Devon Crafts Guild.
Kat is a member of the West Country Potters alongside the Mid-Devon Crafts Guild.
Kat aims to make something that you’ll enjoy using as much as she enjoyed making it.
