Paul started making wooden sticks and doing woodcraft back as a boy scout and refined the art on and off over a number of years. Each year Paul cuts hazel, holly and sweet chestnut to use as shanks and then adds carved wood, horn or antler handles on top to make unique walking sticks.
Not everyone wants to think they need a walking stick so other items have been added to the collection – often from commissions – such as riding crops, umbrellas etc.
Paul is also a member of the British Stickmakers Guild.
Paul can offer a bespoke service to make you a stick, crook or staff and a repair service from his workshop now just across the border on Exmoor.
